Marian Kirby

Marian “Mary Bell” Kirby, 90, passed away Thursday November 11, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.
 
She was born in Muncie the daughter of David and Minnie (Yount) Hudson,
Mary Bell enjoyed playing Euchre, reading, and socializing with her friends and family. While in good health, she loved traveling with her husband, Clarence. Mary Bell was a member of Friends Memorial Church for over 50 years.
 
Her survivors include her husband of 53 years, Clarence Kirby, Muncie; one daughter, Jand Barrett, Muncie; one grandson, James F. Gause (wife-Jeannie), Houston, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Clare Gause; two special grandchildren, Peter Brown, Muncie, and Erin Mustard, Muncie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sue Ann Rogers; three sisters; two brothers; and one son-in-law, Donald Barrett.
 
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Bill Wagoner officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday at the mortuary or one hour prior to services Monday.
