Mattie Elizabeth Kirby
Mattie Elizabeth Kirby, 92, 2525 S. Rochester, died at home Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. Kirby was born in Metcalf County, Kentucky, and came to Muncie in 1925. She was married to the late Clarence G. Kirby for 68 years. Mr. Kirby died in 1985.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Henry and Evelyn Kirby, Clarence and Marybell Kirby, Donald and Phyllis Kirby, and Billie Kirby, all of Muncie; three daughters, Margie Chambers, Marie Miller, and Patricia Reed, all of Muncie; a son-in-law, Ed Lee, Muncie; 41 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 52 great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Ethel Lee, and a sister, Mary Nichols, are deceased.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Calling will be from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
