March 25, 1940 ~ October 1, 2021 (age 81)

Anna M. Bright, 81, passed away early Friday morning, October 1, 2021, at the Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on March 25, 1940, in Huntington, Indiana the daughter of Edward and Ethel F. (Kirby) Lee.

She was a graduate of Muncie Central High School in 1958 and later married William “Woody” Bright in 1968 who preceded her in death in 2017.   Mrs.  Bright had worked as a waitress for the former Flamingo Restaurant for several years.  She enjoyed being generous and gracious while helping people in need especially the youth of society.  Anna was known for her sassiness, quick wit and fun-loving spirit.  Mrs. Bright’s home was always the place to go for kids to hang out and be safe.  Anna especially treasured spending time with the children and grandchildren.

Survivors include, one son, Jeff Bright (wife-Chris); {Stephanie Paul, daughter and  great grandchild, Stella Paul} one daughter, Jennifer Love (husband-Jasen),  {Mya and Ava Love, daughters}; Deceased daughter, Michelle Hornback and deceased son-in-law , Michael Hornback Ist {Michael Hornback II (wife-Erica), son and  great grandchildren-Adrienne Hornback, Cameron Hornback and Michael Hornback III}; Deceased son, Jerry Bright, Sr. , {Jerry Bright, Jr., Derrick Bright and Jared Bright , sons}; one sister, Joan Rigney, children, {Susan Rigney Coppess and Scott Rigney, daughter and son}.

Besides her husband of 44 years, William, she is preceded in death by two sons, Jerry Gene Bright and Gary Lee Bright and one daughter, Michelle Lynn Bright Hornback and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, 1:00 P.M. at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Glenn Griener officiating.  Burial will follow at the Tomlinson Cemetery.
