Elizabeth Joann VanNatter

MUNCIE- Elizabeth Joann VanNatter, 85, passed peacefully at her home on December 2, 2024, the daughter of Donna (McCormick) Crow, was born on June 6, 1939 and graduated from Muncie Central High School. After graduating from high school she began her family and embraced motherhood.


Elizabeth worked as a bartender on and off for 40 years, a lot of people knew her by her nickname of “Red”. Elizabeth was steadfast, she loved to do jigsaw puzzles. She never missed one of her children or grandchildren’s birthdays. She also made Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and was an Indianapolis Colts fan. Most recently she enjoyed reading, but her favorite thing was being a Mema.


Elizabeth leaves behind her children, Starr Ryan, Chip McCormick, Shannon McCormick, Sharon McCormick, Eric McCormick (Jenny) and Erin DeWitt; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and her brother Skip Horn (Deb). Elizabeth is preceded in death by her mother Donna Crow and three brothers Ric Horn, Doug Horn and Ron “Pork” Horn.


Memorial Services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, 415 Washington Street, Muncie on December 5, 2024 at 4:00 PM. Friends and family may call from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
